Chick-fil-A has long been recognized for its enterprising cows and “Eat mor chicken” campaign. But the past few weeks have generated a firestorm of publicity that has nothing to do with the chicken sandwich.
No matter what side of the debate you fall, I think there are a few key points that we all need to keep in mind.
First, each of us has the right to our own opinions and the right to give voice to our opinions. It’s a right afforded by the constitution, and it applies to all Americans.
Second, we’re all valuable…all created in the image of God. It doesn’t help to demean others.
Third, it seems to me this situation has been blow out of proportion. Chick-fil-A is in the food business. My kids like their food, my husband likes their food, I like their food. We’ll be dining there once or twice a month, just like always.
